I love makeup. Everything about it. From buying it, to applying it,to how it makes me feel. I find it therapeutic.I love how it can hide your flaws and bring out your assets at the same time. I don’t think it’s about being beautiful anymore, it’s more about being interesting.
Did you know that the evidence of cosmetics dates back to 10,000 B.C. in ancient Egypt? Both men and women used ointments to clean the skin and cover up body odours. Kohl (a ground black mineral) was used to line the eyes to decrease sun glare and reduce the risk of eye infection (believed to be true at the time). Soon after, coloured clays and dyes began to rouge lips and stain nails. And humans never stopped. According to Orbis Research the global cosmetic products market was valued at USD 532.43 billion in 2017, and is expected to reach a market value of USD 805.61 billion by 2023 which is A LOT, right?

But why do we wear makeup?

1. it’s a part of our artistic expression
2. it makes us feel that we look after ourselves
3. it makes us feel more confident
4. it makes us feel more powerful
5. it’s part of our socialising routine
6. it’s fun (even tho we spend hundreds or thousands a year 😀 )
Would you ladies agree or is there also any other reason you’d suggest?

We paint the woman we want to be every day — a mirror of the inside.

Beauty, however we choose to define it, belongs to us.

“THE MOST BEAUTIFUL MAKEUP OF A WOMAN IS PASSION.
BUT COSMETICS ARE EASIER TO BUY.”
