Couldn’t be a better start to carnival than with a rainbow bottled Vodka 😀 .
We wanted to actually wander around for a while but the amount of people and an urgent need for a toilet (yes there are toilets out on the street, but stinky, dirty and with a massive queues.. there are also toilets in people’s houses, which they charge usually £2 for – pretty good business huh) so we decided to go and see my brother straight away who actually lives on the street where the carnival is happening so we just continued enjoying the carnival from the window 😀 .

Carnival finished at 7pm, as always. The number of arrests was lower than last year but still more than 450 people were arrested in two days. Police seized a number of knives, batons, CS spray and a hammer, while 28 police officers were injured while on duty. It is so so sad and I can’t thank them enough for keeping us safe while there is so much evil people out there trying to hurt us. You can find more infos also about the apparent acid attack HERE.
